As the distance comes between us
My tears, for me have spoken
As time starts to forget us
I grieve my heart you've broken....

Your promises had faded
My hopes you've put asunder
This love affair has ended
Our dreams returned to sender

Oh, this terrible sadness
It drives me down to madness
The sweetness of your kiss
All those things that I will miss

Our nows and our forever...
Your pledge to leave me never
But suddenly you're gone
Leaving me lost and with no one

Our love affair has ended
My fears glow crystal clear
It tears all of the things WE mended
All the things that I hold dear

As the distance grow between us
This heart ache runs more deep
So that I won't think about us...
I'll just cry myself to sleep...
