A Fairytale Or Reality..? Poem by Shannon Nicole

There's this one fairytale that every girl wishes would come true.
That fairytale with the true blove and happy endings.
No girl realizes love's downfalls until they really happen.
She could think she's falling in love with someone amazing,
He could ditch her and she'd hurt.
After a while, she'd realize he wasn't all that great.
A lifetime would almost pass by,
And she'd meet someone else.
She's never allowed herself to love him in the past,
But she can't help it now.
There's only one guy that could never really ruin her.
Every time she thinks she's caught the right one,
She questions herself if she should follow her heart this time,
And risk the pain that'll arise in the end.

I think this time,
I'll risk the pain that might come soon enough.

She'll brace herself through that wall,
If he cares enough to break it down,
Maybe he won't hurt her after all.
