A Dying Wish Poem by Rose Falcone

A Dying Wish

Rating: 5.0

If anything happened to me
If my body were to break
If my last breath called your name
Would you know?
If you knew, would you care?
If you cared, would you come?

Should I bother to make a wish known?
For someone to find you
If the unspeakable happens?
Why do I hold on to the hope
That you will ever come back to me
Even as I lay dying?
