A Different Student
He walks along the hallway,
Examining the whole world
Full of people–full of ways–
Not knowing how they’re connected.
He reads their thoughts, sees their past,
Predicts five kinds of future
But only one journey must
Be taken by a choice made sure.
The abstract is clear is to him
So he looks for the details
In a world that’s figuring
The nature of what is truly real.
Because it takes faith to see,
It takes God to know the vague,
To know the learning secrets
Other students look for today.
