A Destiny Defied Poem by Moth Harris

A Destiny Defied

Today is a quiet day for my heart and mind.
The silence of the shadow of sorrow has come.
I am afraid that my destiny feels defied
Then heaven sent me three doves each of which has died.

My heart with wings a red bird in the air.
With each beat of my weeping heart.
My blood is laced with my love for you
For it is not just my heart that is broken, but all of me.

I don't think you meant it, not entirely of course.
We are but two different puzzles and our pieces aren't the same,
but put together side by side we do make such a beautiful picture.
It's not what we had in common but the love in our hearts.

My mind with it's imagination soaring high
Was brought down when the others too had died.
I can't help, but feel helpless, worthless and alone.
It wasn't that you said goodbye it was all in the tone.

The day was quiet because it was the hearts turn to weep. In hopes that the sun will shine it's warmth on your soul again. Your mheart is pure. You continue to amaize me.
