A Desire Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

A Desire

Rating: 4.8

I shall watch you grow
With the river to have natural flow
I get happiness as cheeks naturally glow
take care not to give me any blow

I shall bear none
as you are special some one
it is natural in mind to be borne
now it is definitely your turn

Garden is about to boom with fragrance
spray it with kindness at once
I feel happiness and certainly glance
bring it at my door ……..

I stand to loose for all the time to come
As you have chosen me not to welcome
But I shall always remain and enjoy
Your ardent lover and handsome boy

Keep me at one corner but don’t push
Don’t take hasty decision and rush
I shall watch you through thick bush
Little flower coming up in green lush

I shall and alone and enjoy from far
Love is not game or any war
It is beautiful union of two souls
How beautiful it would be if we observe as whole

I have no where to go
I shall not easily make it to forgo
Change and fate any how in life are welcome
I shall stand fool if i don't understand it at home

I like the title. It is simple and to the point and the poem represents the title perfectly. Now, about the poem. The ending is the weakest part. It leaves the reader with nothing to remember. The opening was only fair, but this poem is much beter than the first one I read. There are some good phrases scattered through the poem. The word usage is again the weakness overall in the writing. I am sure that will improve with time. The ending really needs to be changed. ---- Greenwolfe 1962

‘…Love …It is beautiful union of two souls…’ Yeah and yeah Sir…soul in our culture [Indic] is different from others… its Ataman… Yeah discourse of Yagyanyablaka and Maitri had talk on this Soul was discussed… In today’s reality the meaning of Soul has come to soul… Thanks Uncle Voted 10++ Ms. Nivedita UK
