A Deal Poem by Morgan Michaels

A Deal

Said the pretty, young witch
to the humpy, young fool
'Aroint! '
your genes, quick, then out! '
You, yourself, are quite beside the point.'

'Not so fast, there, not so fast, ' said he.
'Find yourself another fool.
I would never spend a night with you
or any other who'll
not take my fortune, too'

Then said the pretty, pretty witch
quoting Molly Bloom
'if I must, then, whatchu got,
I'll take, all of, and then some.
Yes, if you insist, why not? '

That's all just to say
(and so be it sworn)
the bulk of men are not made fools-
no, nosirree, at all-
a fool is born.
