A Day Is A Day Is A Day Poem by Claude H Oliver II

A Day Is A Day Is A Day

What makes one day differ from another
Is Monday so different from Saturday
Does this world change from day to day
Or is change ruler of days
Is Sunday sunnier
Is Tuesday our day of rain
Is Wednesday for marriage
Is Thursday's value less
Or Friday's value greater

Days are the canvas on which we paint our lives
The skeletons we enflesh
Day needs no clock - 'tis its own clock
Framing life to its own rhythm
Each day is unique - yet not
Dressing in light - shedding light - discarding light
Each day ends what was
Each day begins what is
The days ahead, what is to be
When all is said, all done
A day is a day is a day
The significance of each day is ours.
