A Day In Dallas Texas Poem by Amanda Combs Feltner

A Day In Dallas Texas

Rating: 5.0

One noon day in Dallas Texas
A motorcade came driving by
With our dear President, and First Lady
November 22, with laden skies From the upper story of a building
The assassin focused his lens
On the back of our dear President
Who had millions and millions of friends As they drove through and overhead walkway
Three shots roared out so clear
Which took the life of our President
And wounded the governor there In the tragic moment of confusion
Many prayers were sent up above
For help from our dear Savior
For this world, without love America must face grim reality
A nation has lost a great man
Our love to Jacqueline Kennedy
This tragedy we'll never understand.
