A Daughter's Plea Poem by Kelli Steidle

A Daughter's Plea

Why won't you see me
After all these years?
Is it too painful to reveal
A secret to fear?

Don't you want to know
What has become of me?
The amazing person and wife
A mother, you see

Well I will tell you now
I've forgiven you long ago
I'm happy it's true
But still missing that part of my soul

Maybe someday you'll want me
To come face to face
Those pink blanket memories
Fading, finally erased

Until then I wait
Alone in my thoughts
Lingering feelings of hope
That someday you'll come back

Very well written. I feel your sadness but have not experienced it.
