A DAD, A FATHER AND A MAN

Whenever i looked at my father,
You know what i saw?
I saw a dad.
I insist i saw-
I wasn't told, you know-
He was a father in a man.
Further into being a father,
He was a dad.
In the outer world,
A man, he was.
But in my world
A dad, a father and a man;
A true one.
At least in my childhood eyes.

A well penned poem written with insight. A nice piece indeed. From the eyes of children dads are seen not only as exact men, they are also seen as supermen. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON. (Report) Reply

poet John Clare

I love to see the old heath's withered brake
Mingle its crimpled leaves with furze and ling,
While the old heron from the lonely lake
Starts slow and flaps its melancholy wing,
