A Curse Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

A Curse

Rating: 3.0

Gone is the pure moon
And brightly shining stars
Of yesteryear
Washed away they were
Since long by my beloved’s
Torrential tear

For she has lost her love
In me in prime of her youth
And has gone insane
For since her childhood
She had fallen on me mad
Took me as her man

But I got lost in beguiling
Charm of a girl of tender
Age and youth
When we met at a fair
Our eyes got close and love
Struck us both

Now she loves me more
Than ever and does not
Share my heart
With anyone who vows to
End her life and from this
Earth silently depart
