A Cry Poem by Rich Downes

A Cry

Still I can't shake tears
Just not sure of why I'll fear
Just not sure of drop
A word doesn't stop you from a jeer
Not ever sure of things now babe
Let me rot
A time doesn't shake off this blue
And I won't be free of paining

A cry leaves me as an old joke
Cry as I'll always now rumble
Clasping something never near
If you weren't seeing as to what I fear
Struggle as you joke
A cry as you may now rumble
Clasping something never near
If you weren't seeing as to what I fear

A heart you won't see
Yet there's nothing I will shove
But here's the pain when you make my heart heave
Yet then it was worth a punt
Worth a punt, hey
A word to stop my soul ever blue
And I can't cure this straining

A cry leaves me as an old joke
Cry as I'll always now rumble
Clasping something never near
If you weren't seeing as to what I fear
Struggle as you joke
A cry as you may now rumble
Clasping something never near
If you weren't seeing as to what I fear

Just with an admission
Let love be an attraction
Now I've fallen much
Dare not try to ever clutch
Even as here's a cry
For you won't reply
Reply

A word to stop my soul ever blue
(Yet there's nothing babe)
And I can't cure this straining

A cry leaves me as an old joke (yeah)
Cry as I'll always now rumble
Clasping something never near
If you weren't seeing as to what I fear
Struggle as you joke (yeah, yeah, yeah)
A cry as you may now rumble (hey, hey, hey)
Clasping something never near (dare not shove)
If you weren't seeing as to what I fear (can't shove the land)

Struggle as you joke (just joking)
A cry as you may now rumble
Clasping something never near
If you weren't seeing as to what I fear
(Life is unfair, yeah, yeah)
Yeah, yeah…
