A Crazy And Insane Poet

Rating: 4.7

When I am crazy and insane
as said by the critics
how can I be a poet.
I do not know
how to praise God
God has not taught me
the language of praise
and pleasant words.

I do not fear my God unseen
I have not learnt how to fear
gods on earth
who loves death
instead of life.
Who loves people of power
hoping for a reward.

I prefer chain and punishment
instead of flowers
How can I be a poet of honour
when I am with undressed
and unhonoured people.

Ershad, these are brave words written by I think a very sane man. After all what good does praise do to either Gods or man. Men of power corrupt through their greed for all. Bob

Well done, dear poet Ershad Mazumder. You are a poet exactly because you 'prefer chain and punishment instead of flowers'...'not with people of honours but with the undressed and unhonoured people' (read in parallel my poem The Little Poor of God) . I give you 10. Give us more of your talented and gifted verses Joseph S. Josephides Member of the International Society of Poets (ISP) Int.Lib.Poetry awarded

poetry is not merely a composition but a reflection of one's thoughts... if thys is wht u think... thn i wud advice u rest for a day...for u hv tortured urself enough... believe me its futile chasing life.... stop the empty race... ponder on the deeper side of the life gifted by almighty....

Dear Devil Poet - As Gibran has said 'we dwell in the house of tomorrow.' This existence can not touch you. Like a woman who has been raped, it is the rapist that soils himself. Be who YOU were meant to be. Blessings to you - Cheryl

Mr Mazumder, this is really a fine piece of writing and I guess many poets and writers have had this sentiment of not being in tune with the world. Thanks for this poem.
