Are words physical?
Do they truly have
A scent and a sound?
Do poets hide
Behind their words?
Are they not intensely
Separate from the crowd?
When you search
For a thought
Is that honest,
Or should the thought
Discover you?
When you eat textures
And dream poems
And bleed colours
And dress emotionally,
Do you not wear
A poet's make-up?
No, I think there's
Something deeper.
Like a bottomless blue....
