A Cloud From The East Passed Above The Middle Sea And Didn’t Thunder Poem by Soran M. H

A Cloud From The East Passed Above The Middle Sea And Didn’t Thunder

Rating: 5.0

The burned mountain was not yet awake.
The fig tree had not yet shaken off the dust of the
fighters’ boots.
The transparent cloud had passed from there.

A tired weapon coughed
like an elderly smoker with TB
Ravaged bodies lay quiet
like fallen leaves on a river.
Soft rain dropped from the cloud
but the flowers did not as usual flourish.

The sun travelled with a broken heart.
The shadows of the clouds and the storks were
mingled:
they shall never again be seen in that sky.

I concur with Shaun's comments. You have a great talent. You can pull the readers to where you want to go by your extraordinary words and superb imagery and of course, the most important, the message that you want to impart to humanity.

An exceptional write with an exceptional imagery. This is my second visit but I feel that my previous comments on this beautifully crafted and thought out write were not enough to depict how much I was moved by this gripping, poignant and powerful poem. Every line of this poem speaks of destruction and evilness. So lethal and dangerous...it is beyond comprehension how humanity can go down to the level of a beast.
