A City Of Souls Poem by Terence George Craddock (Spectral Images and Images Of Light)

A City Of Souls

Rating: 5.0

A beloved blessed historic city
encompasses embodies more
than architecturally shaped
preserved bricks and mortar.

Such sensuality such filth
such heightened inspiration
such impassioned reason
such nobility of enacted ideals

intermixes with multitudes
encompassing estranged emotions
in constant flux haboured
human hunger hidden passion bidden

behind personality protective
masks veiled variant frontages.

Still my soul estranged
love lurks there insight smitten
sight unseen infatuated
as my spiritual essence alights

fades into numerous
congested beautiful backdrops
I may breathe no longer
still haunted walk among.

Circumstances contrived aspired
induced generated exiled departure.

Beautifully written as I read on I could picture all that you were writing. I could almost smell the stale streets and see the faceless poeple. Great write.
