A Christmas Rose Poem by Dorothy (Alves) Holmes

A Christmas Rose

Rating: 3.0

I bring you a rose,

Dancing in the snow,

As it did one Christmas

Morning long ago.

It sprang through the ice,

The legend goes on to say,

As sweet as the baby, it arrived,

Early on Christmas day.

Not only for the Christmas season,

Do I wish you joy, peace and love,

Not ony for this season,

Do I wish you good cheer,

And gentle white doves.

May each day fill your heart with

Voices of heavenly choirs,

May each day fulfill your dreams and

Your fondest desires.

May peace fill your days and nights,

The whole year through,

These, my friend, are my wishes

For you!
