A Broken Reality Poem by Chey King

A Broken Reality

Who's soul should you keep intact?
When you have yet to accomplish fact
When I have tried so hard to appease
When you have yet to attempt to please

I have no other options
No actions
Nor enough cards in the hand you decided to deal
The life that you couldn't seem to face... was real
I can't seem to come to grips with your mentality
I can't seem to accept your pitiful reality
A reality that was really nothing but a dream
But now it's time to wake up, tailor the seams

But life screams for the truth you have yet to show
This world needs capabilities that you have yet to grow
I can't imagine how you could ignore, pass by
All these horrors that created this lie

Could this really be a broken dream?
With reoccurring lives, a smaller scheme
I'm afraid that this could indeed be a nightmare
A hell made for you, the devil's heir
This couldn't be your heart, your soul
This can't be the life you've chosen to extol
