A love that’s been lost
A love not meant to be
That seems to be the story
That was written just for me

Love was always close at hand
But I just couldn’t get a hold
What a sad editorial
When the story of my life is told

I was never mean to woman
I just couldn’t stay true
I would love one lady
All the time, looking for someone new

So that is why love has never lasted
It wasn’t them it was me
When I look into the mirror
A broken man is all I see
