A Broken Heart

A squandered love
In a vale of dreams
A constant nightmare
With satanic screams

A sub-conscious surprise
With unforseen desolation
A possessive malevolence
Leading self isolation

A gallant feeling
Not to be revealed
A void of love
Passively concealed

A departed connection
With reason of despair
A love so tormented
Damaged beyond repair

Poem of the Day

poet Edmund Spenser

My love is like to ice, and I to fire:
How comes it then that this her cold so great
Is not dissolved through my so hot desire,
But harder grows the more I her entreat?
