* A Blame On Gandhi Poem by Samanyan Lakshminarayanan

* A Blame On Gandhi

Rating: 5.0

whatever GANDHI did for this nation
the fastings he did
the decisions he took
the ahimsa he followed
the freedom he got us...in his own way
nothing....nothing of these
I would blame him for
the 'herds of men' like goats
this i would blame it on gandhi
may be gandhi was a good shepherd like Christ
after him...what did happen
these people still go behind someone...and
like herds they do behave...without knowing
they are following the 'BUTCHERS'...thinking
them too to be GANDHIS

A bit of an extreme view to blame the local herd mentality on Gandhi....but a good concept well executed poetically

A sad situation indeed when people do not know what values or principle's their leaders are standing for, but, simply follow because the one next to him does. Well penned, dear friend and you have inspired me again. Please read, 'Woe! My country men' written just now. Angel

From home to great institutions One has to wonder... Is this... for we got freedom! Is this... for which men and women fell on the battle ground! Is this... after all living. Great message here. Learn to hear and follow the inner call Then step out to be a follower or be followed. Good one. Enjoyed this read. Thank you.

Gandhiji wanted to abolish the institution of Congress after the freedom, as its fair name should not get spoiled later on. 'But politics is the last refuge of a scoundral' some one said this. It is the polticians who play dirty politics disregarding Gandhi's noble ideals. Gandhiji did his part well, but the posterity has damaged his fair name. In the present context of fighting for the chairs in the parliment, this poem is well timed.
