A Birthday Bash Poem by Natarajan Ramaseshan

A Birthday Bash

Time struck nine, the moon was bright
We headed for the poolside straight
A birthday bash for a young lass
Oh, what a gathering it was!
Her dress was flashy charming red
A princess crown, she wore on head
Jokes and giggles, sounds of laughter
Rent the air as they did chatter.
Lamps were lit and she cut a cake
Full of cream and of chocolate make
Songs were sung, miming so rare
Dancing and clapping, also there!
They were Indians at 'The Falls'
Who flock together when one calls
It was great to see them all come
'Caring' at home away from home!

( Description of the birthday party on 15/05/2014 at The Falls, Folsom, California)
