A Better Way Poem by Rose Falcone

A Better Way

Rating: 5.0

When the days were cold and dreary
When my woeful life was weary
When my heart had been forsaken
When every step seemed mistaken

Through toil and doubt I trudged
Feeling lonely and misjudged
Rabid dogs nipped at my knees
With one more crisis my heart might seize

A powerful voice rose within me
Take my hand and you shall see
With inner strength though body tire
He raised me up from muck and mire

The past is through and future unknown
Today hails from what’s been reaped and sewn
All my focus rests on the now
This present moment I avow

With God my father none else I need
All I have is great indeed
The day is warmer and not so dismal
The clouds have parted, not so abysmal

Light in my heart, sun on my face
Hope restored, a loving embrace
To worry is a lack of prayer
A better way I’m now aware

A heartfelt and profound poem Rose, When all looks black and the way forward seems full of doubt..there is a guiding spirit just in reach for us to grasp and take his hand. Take care, Sid John xx.
