A Better Pot Poem by Saanumi ikujuni

A Better Pot

Those years before
we're just as fine in form
When the core of calm - still
her languid grace
In the lonely luxury of tears
anger was easier than tears
Elder! better check the weather
whether thine welder will make bold
To weld thee a lethal armour
good medicine is always bitter
Whilst thy clay i adore
the best pot why condemn?
Thou old cooking pot
isn't worth wasting time on?
What you don't own and/or control
oh snacirfA are notoriously religious
Your iron pot: my dread

And the shadows of yesteryears
being drawn on their cobwebs.
