A Better Destiny Poem by Gerry Legister

A Better Destiny

Rating: 4.0

Do you remember how it once felt?
The bruise pain woven in your spirit.
When your heart was broken in two,
You wanted someone just to love you,
And to be faithful and true to the end.
Until all your bruise shekels were mend.
They too, came along and just pretended.
To be friends when emotions descended.
Causing more agony to roam in the past,
It Invokes colossal memories far and vast.
Your hopes are now looking back at you.
Absolution mirrors with the smear glass.
Now cleaner, hope sees a better destiny,
In a happier state than in the past misery.
