A Beautiful Story

how can i say
the things i want
when i am afraid
of what others might say

how can i sing
the song in my heart
when i am afraid
of what the whole world will say

how can i write
the story i truly love
when i am afraid
of what you might say

only when i am wrapped
with the words and the whispers
of love i long to hear
will my heart sing and dance
and write with joy the
the love story i long to write
the story of you and me

poet Edgar Allan Poe

Kind solace in a dying hour!
Such, father, is not (now) my theme-
I will not madly deem that power
Of Earth may shrive me of the sin
