A Beautiful Creature Poem by William Joseph

A Beautiful Creature

I notice her walk by me
This beautiful creature
So vibrantly attired
Oblivious to my attentive gaze

Her flowing hair does move
Gracefully against her face
The light rhythm of her gait
Trumpets her arrival in this place

She turns for a moment to reveal
Shiney decorations upon her delicate ears
Which give evidence of her dedication to her looks
Revealing the beauty of her feminine nature

She notices me gazing shyly at her from a distance
Our eyes meet for a fleeting moment
She looks away indifferently
But betrays herself with a bashful smile

My intentions now are made clear
To admire this lovely creature from afar
She glances back for just a moment
Allowing me the grace of returning an innocent smile
