A Beatle Divorce Poem by Wayne Falconer

A Beatle Divorce

Paul once married
somebody called Heather
who used him
and abused him.

And Heather is suing
for cash settlement
divorce doesn't come cheap
especially with baby involved.

Well so they do say
others might well think
no fool like old fool
or so they do say.

Perhaps it's just karma
arriving back to replay
Paul who married lady
nearly half his age.

And soon shall be
settlement time date
meantime I'm hearing
yet again fateful lines.

How Paul once married
young lady called Heather
his reasons why escape me
leave me just shaking my head.

Footnote divorce is settled
Paul payed through the neck.
Heather got her cash dues
and Paul was finally divorced.

What to say another 21st century day.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Poem about Paul McCartney (ex-Beatle) and his divorce from his former wife Heather (can't remember her last name) . Basically Paul was taken to the cleaners so I thought I might write a mildly saterical poem about their breakup.
