A BALANCE BETWEEN MARRIAGES AND DIVORCES!

Marriages and divorces are balancing with each other nowadays!
Why should there be so many divorces so early and fast now?
Are the marriages made from blind love without any guarantee?
It looks so funny to read about such loves, marriages and divorces!

Divorced men and women are again loving and marrying afterwards!
This is also quite ridiculous to see happening everywhere nowadays!
Are their unions again taking place due to attraction of sex or love?
They all make one search about the meaning of love and sex again!

Marriage is a commitment for the couples both for good and bad times!
Each should give oneself for the other through thick and thin in life.
Sex is temporary but love is permanent in life for all couples in the world;
Marriage for Selfish reasons cannot last longer leading to divorces only!

Patience and perseverance will keep couples together sans selfishness;
But fast and rigid mode of life cannot keep couples together any longer!

Purely by the capitalised letters in the title it is obvious your discontent of how society leans these day and your sentiments are well founded but very often when young we choose the dead opposite to what we should, a kind of rebellious streak and sometimes people find themselves married to an ogre and should they stay for statistics even if their children are suffering watching violence (plz note this is not my personal experience but of loved ones and friends around me....) the ideal of marriage is a wonderful concept if two well rounded people of giving natures meet but if one is not, the other should not have to stay to keep outsiders happy...thanks for a controversial write which ruffles the feathers and grey matter combined...tyvm karen (Report) Reply

Very much relevant and contemporary poetry on burning issue, on marriage and divorce and it is multifactorial …

‘Marriage is a commitment for the couples both for good and bad times! ’ ~ Hedonistic mindset has robbed our time-tested values and we’re after more and best from utter unsecured inner voidness that is self made and we’re in net unable to come out…

Sorry Sir…the cyclic of marriage and divorce show will go on… thanks for sharing Hon’ble Poet Ramesh-ji

An interesting subject to tackle and a good debate to launch...Actually marrige is such an engagement that is very difficult to maintain forever...Time, technology, temptations, routine, daily problems change couples a lot... Human nature plays a big role too...Read my poem: 'Marriage, the union of difference' (Report) Reply

    Dear Shri Ramesh avl.,
This malady in the society is as old as 20 years. Now this trend has taken several uglier shapes, like 'living together', 'pub culture'. I think our age group people are too late in their cry..............I hope atleast now people read this good poem and show some true concern.... Thanks for this good piece Sir. (Report) Reply

Rames ji, You have highlighted an important issue that is slowly spreading like cancer in our Society! That 'greed' factor has surfaced once more! This capital city of Delhi is perhaps leading in bride burning & greed score! Also over the years
both patience & tolerance spans have drastically reduced! Why go far, tell me how many of us have the patience to search the old poems of poets - to detect a hidden gem there by far? ! Thanks for sharing your poem & thoughts! 10!

A thought provoking piece. It is a shame that so many marriages fall apart especially when there are children involved. Best wishes, Andrew (Report) Reply

    marriage signifies union/unity
    while divorce signifies break ups...

    marriage is a sacred commitment
where man and woman bound as one

divorce is the only way to legalize 'separation'

    marriage needs contracts
    like divorce too...

    divorce is quiet good
to couples who are not living happily
    that is the only advantage
    to go in separate ways....

    now adays divorce is rampant
    especially to socialites
it is accepted to some countries
but some, it is against their culture..

if there's no love, do couples live happily?

so before getting married, , , think twice and think many times''if the relation will not end in separation? ....well...love conquers all...it rules but it is not demanding...your piece is very nice, , i have so many things to say..so nice, interesting and debatable...cheers...smileeeeeeeeeee..kisesssssssss (Report) Reply

Yes it's true that more people are getting divorced and it happens for variety of reasons. While thick and thin sounds like a right thing to do, but when it is more thin then thick, it brakes quite easily.................People do get remarried, because life is lonely when you have no one to share it with............. thro thick and thin times...today men have changed for the better..woman hve changed for the worst...after a certain years of living together there is not even love...both get used to each other and a natural concern develops..only that should keep it going...and that happens and depends on the woman (Report) Reply
