(955) Poverty (Acrostic) Poem by Melvina Germain

(955) Poverty (Acrostic)

Rating: 3.2

Pining for a much better quality of life,
Opened to great suffering and pain.
Violence and hate, society's distain.
Every step seems a step in the wrong direction.
Realizing each day is a losing battle.
Trampled by the powerful, frowned upon by middleclass.
Yet always wondering, how long will it last.

A very thought filled piece that covered pretty much everything in current events about how poverty causes much suffering...So many just getting by and even the middle class struggle because of living beyond their means. 4 sure another Great piece of work! ((hug)) Shelley

My friend a fine analytical work. Having grown up in what I now know as poverty, exuberant memories of those days suggest that poverty can simply be a state of mind! Thanks for vigorously sharing your special thoughts.
