9.6 Ivan Pagonov’s Troyes Conquered Once Only Poem by Christos R. Tsiailis

9.6 Ivan Pagonov’s Troyes Conquered Once Only

Fear Danaos lest bringing gifts,
Readiness
Fortress your heart shall be,
Roarers in time,
Homers,
Listeners,
and that is how a heart learns to resist,
Someone names himself Ivan Pagonov
Then acquires any rank.

Lose noose, first step down the tripod,
second foot, secure
in those moments of meat thickness,
hard heart muscle chiseled,
the Durian Horse is smiling,
then spreading its pheromones,
the scent of seduction,
a saint in a dungeon,
tortured you are, but are you scared?

All this centennial awareness
Has lead to Eternal Doom of Mankind,
It has left Lieutenant Ivan fighting Seasons for us.
