5th Amendment Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

5th Amendment

5th Amendment

Long ago in past
-when mother, father
-very much differed
-meaning was other
-comparing to now
-looked day to night

Children married as told
-and match-made…

No air-condition for summer, winter
-and the siblings stayed with parents
-even when married, with the partners
-the brides came in as new daughters
-but not equal…

At midnight a mom
-stood, walked around
-caring for her kids
-include in-laws

All the beds on roof
-in a warm summer

"Why are you so far? "
-said to her son's wife

And why so near?
-said to the daughter

In-law complained
-"One roof two weather? "

Flynn, the Michael, is told:
-"Come answer…! "
-he rejects by law
-what is Bill of Rights

In the Secret cells,
-others were tortured:
-"Be killed or confess! "

What a Washington!
-"One roof two weather! "
