'5am'

Morphine pours into the vein
Eyes closed feel no pain
No remedy no cure
Waiting in line at heavens door
Doubting our choice
Longing to hear your voice
Finally at peace
Emotions released
5am
My heart an empty chamber
A piece of it stollen by death
The day he took his last breath
