52 - Poor Unfortunate Child

Rating: 5.0

You no longer smile
My poor unfortunate child
Tears replace your grin
Falling rapid and wild

Your repose replaced
By foreign anxiety
Caught in a web
Of lies and notoriety

You walk through life
Like it's a story
Wrapped up in chaos
Inside this blaze of glory

Damaged by perception
You're trapped inside
No way to escape
This hungry riptide

Poor unfortunate child
It'll all be over soon
Then you can break free
From your make-shift cocoon
