.5. What Bugs You Poem by David Threadgold

.5. What Bugs You

The budgie likes to tease the cat
While the cat just scares the mice
The goldfish in his goldfish bowl
Floats round there looking nice

The hamster in his spinning wheel
Busy running slicing carrot
Sends it flying everywhere
And one piece hits the parrot

The dog has chased the guinea pig
Through the house and into bed
While the squirrels steal the rabbit’s food
From the hutch beside the shed

The magpies chase the starlings
While the starlings chase the sparrows
As cabbage whites eat cabbage
And the slugs attack the marrows

The caterpillars munch on leaves
And change to things now flying
While ants chase all the aphids
Making life a little trying
