5 Haikus About Rain Poem by CNL CNL

5 Haikus About Rain

Clouds dump their jewelry;
Each leaf snaps a necklace and pours
a thousand pearls.

The leaf's brook congeals
into a crystal berry;
Wind plucks it.

I gulp the storm air.
Bare trees glisten like coral.
Teal grass sags like kelp.

Autumn carved from peach.
Skies, a slice; trees, core; leaves, skin.
All glazed with sweet rain.

A jog after rain.
Trees, like mothers with candies,
strew drops on my tongue.
