.5. Amuse-Ling Poem by David Threadgold

.5. Amuse-Ling

Rating: 5.0

Muesli what a funny thing
Like eating chips of wood
I eat it every breakfast time
Because I’m told it’s good

Muesli comes in bags so large
I’ve never seen one end
The smaller bags will top it up
Reducing monthly spend

Muesli never looks good
All oats with wheat and bran
Slowly swelling in my bowl
Because a Muesli can

Muesli with some nuts in
With bad ones tasting bitter
One day I thought we’d mixed it up
When the cat ran short of litter

Muesli might be good for me
With milk to make it wetter
Though a nice big tasty fry up
Would make me feel much better

LOL...Once again, you've taken a simple thing which most people can relate to, and turned it into a great poem! ! Poets unite....no more soggy breakfasts! ! ! ! : -) Hugs, Dee

David, very clever, and with a great deal of truth to it. Love your humour.10/10 Ian
