.4. The Wozzel Duck Poem by David Threadgold

.4. The Wozzel Duck

The much bespangled Wozzel duck
Jewelled feather every shade
Swam the river many a mile
Till his energy did fade

When sun shone down he sparkled
Every jewel lit up a light
All the colours of the rainbow
Seen for miles shine bright

Though Wozzel duck be handsome
In the sun like coloured spark
He will lose his dazzling lustre
When night turns daylight dark

So rest now through the night time
Put back what a daytime took
When sun returns you’ll need your strength
To glow my Wozzel duck
