4 Letter Suicide Poem by Jeremy Patnou

4 Letter Suicide

(intro)

Death,
encompassed
in a pretty little
4 letter word,
a loaded gun it is.
Death and life fill its chamber,
a dual sided fate
die to live
but is the life you recieve
any better than
living dead?
4 letter suicide,
that word is love.

(pt.1 The bullet in the chamber)
My dear girl,
pretty young girl
do you realize how you pain
the young lad
whom so emphatically
longs
for your heart
how you toy, making him beg,
stringing him along,
do you laugh at his pain?
Still, he does return
undaunted
by your cold rejection.
At the foot of your tower
he waits,
only for you
and there he would glady die,
just to know his grave to you was nearby...
You are untrusting, protective, cold
perhaps rightly so
The face of your heart is unknown
hidden behind your walls of
insecurity.
The bullet slides into the chamber
the sentence is set
death by rejection since their eyes
first met...
Your in too deep kid,
Dear, deeper than you know,
Hes in love with you,
perhaps madly so.

(pt.2 Pull the trigger or walk away and die another day, another way)
The lover boy,
the stonewalled girl
she looks out from her tower,
to him her face glows.
Shes become a muse unknowingly
as she is, he writes...
A curse, a burden, a mission perhaps
love, just the word is
an anomaly
cryptic and slippery
different to each
yet the same to many
to define it
is like trying to catch air.
Does he love her
truely! ?
Despite all his romanticism,
what substance, what truth,
what dedication has he?
In 30 years, will his convicion be
the same, if not stonger?

Why do the young seek this thing
love
so direly, so passionatley...
it kills, it chills, it thrills.
an eccentric monument
an idol, a fear.
How will he define himself for her?
As for now,
at the tower he does wait.
