From conspiracy to contingency the people decree
Perhaps this forewarning is not the whole story
Leaders and followers are one and the same
The news that the gods are coming to reclaim
From planning, to practice, they prepare their world
From a celestial damnation nearly unfurled
They study the relic that delivered the augury
And foreshadowed their imminent misery
Hoping for a saving grace from the ending
What can they expect from the death impending?
