Like a baby in a bassinet
Quietly dreaming away,
An old man lies without regret
Reflecting on yesterday.
Both let out a peaceful moan
And prepare to meet the great unknown.
The baby awakes to a bright new day
And a lifetime still ahead.
The old man walks through a lit doorway,
Where his ancestors have tread.
Both commence a new journey
Alongside friends and family.
