.3. Water, Water Poem by David Threadgold

.3. Water, Water

Rating: 4.5

Water shortage hosepipe bans
Old Jack Brown was making plans
In his garden plants bone dry
Water needed or they’ll die

Last year it was power cuts
Now he’s buying water butts
Bowls and buckets even pans
Saving old used baked bean cans

Any vessel without holes
Even tarpaulin on poles
Still he finds his plants all wane
Now its floods with none stop rain

We'll never be satisfied with our weather here in the UK. Well expressed and the 'flow' is good. Love and hugs Ernestine XXX
