.3. Gone Nuts Poem by David Threadgold

.3. Gone Nuts

Rating: 5.0

Acorns on the woodland floor
Squirrel found with many more
Up a tree back to his house
Inside asleep a well fed mouse

Squirrel angry starts to chatter
Mouse awake what was the matter
In his fright mouse ran around
Clashed with squirrel fell to ground

Under leaves the door mouse hidden
Having slept where he’s forbidden
The squirrel now must work much harder
To fill once more his empty larder

Good poem with some sort of a lesson maybe saying 'don't trespass' anyone's property. And if you do it will be a physical clash. Well penned David! Hope you write more.
