295. The Crow And The Butterfly Poem by Jaden Knight

295. The Crow And The Butterfly

You are beautiful
full of happiness and grace
with smiles and light
shining from your eyes and face

I am ruled by a darker power
who rules my flights and steps
and secrets hide inside of me
all at hidden depths

And yet we get on really well
as if we are both under love's best spell
it feels as if it is all so right
I am your darkness but you are my light

I hope that we can be together
as close as we can be to forever
hoping that we can avoid our death
as he stalks us through every living breath

Although as a couple our match is odd
but who can fathom the designs of a god
and together we proudly fly
I am your crow and you are my butterfly

to MyPoemList. i like that you did not hold yourself to a restricting rhyme scheme. great. but the rhymes you used were nice indeed. a fine couple you have imagined for us. they AREN'T real are they? imagine............a crow and a butterfly! they could have awesome offspring OR awful offspring. as close as we can be to forever ..........forever is how i would spell it, but i believe you and some other good british commonwealth poets have used for ever in the past. maybe you are becoming 'americanized. bri :)
