292. I Offer You My Shoulder Poem by Jaden Knight

292. I Offer You My Shoulder

I offer you my shoulder
a new place for your tears to run
somewhere for you to rest your head
when it all gets too much

It's safe warm and always available
should you need to use it
stay there until you can sob no more
and you begin to calm down

Don't worry about ruining my top
you'd never leave a stain
if any one asks I can always tell them
that I got caught out without a coat

Seriously if I ever see or hear you're upset
I want to be the first one by your side
and as your eyes start to well up with tears
I offer you my shoulder
