264. Death Calling John Poem by Jaden Knight

264. Death Calling John

This is is death calling John
do you know how far you've gone
what happened to your light
when I first saw you it was so bright
now it's getting too dim
the chance of you getting it back look so slim

I should have claimed you before
but wanted to see if you could survive more
you have taken too many hits
now it's time we got you clear of this bullshit

It's clear you never learnt
you trusted too many people and got burnt
they don't want to hear what you say
guess it's time to end the show and walk away

This is John calling death
will you tell me how much time I've left
I still have too much to do
refuse to walk away until I'm through

Though I may not be as bright
I still have got a little of my light
while I many not have the world as a friend
there are still some people I'll wait for until the end

This is death calling John
for now I will let you stay on
maybe you're right
and there's a way to restore your light
maybe it will burn through your ropes
and restore all your dreams and hopes

I will let you do what you will for now
will let you alone this is my vow
for now you will be permitted to carry on
and until you decide to go you stay strong
