24 Hour Lights Poem by Theodora (Theo) Onken

24 Hour Lights

Rating: 5.0

In the blue afternoon
The ambience glitters the Sun
Splashed 'cross the Azure Sky
Lasting 'til the day is done
The twilight of the early eve
Relinquishes splendours of blue
But adds magenta and a hint -of apricot-orange hue
Soon the West has made it's bed
Surrendered all cozy in it's nest
Ebon skies with Diamond Eyes
Ease us all into some needed rest
The slumber of the sleeping world goes on
While the Galaxies shine their Stars
The Golden glitter of the Dazzling Universe
Gives such utter majesty-To This World Of Ours

Now I read in George Gamow's book that if the light rays were not diffracted, we would have had a black sky with the stars visible during the day also - I'm glad we have the contrast of blue sky with the velvet night sky and its diamond stars! Thank you for reminding us of the beauty of the sky, Great to have you back, Kind regards, Margaret.

God in his wisdom said let there be light, and it was good for man would always have a light to guide his path both day or night...10
