I stood alone a long time
Wondering of true friends of mine
I waited patiently
I waited true
But no one came
Not even a clue
Old friends come and old friends go
Newer friends are hard to know
New friends do have good wishes
But that’s all they remain just good wishes
Its all I can do to pass the time
Day dreams carry away my mind
Life is cruel
Life is unfair
There seems to be a schedule of when to care
New friends don’t take the time to see
That the person needing their thoughts the most is me

I

Our life is twofold; Sleep hath its own world,
A boundary between the things misnamed
Death and existence: Sleep hath its own world,
And a wide realm of wild reality,
