1995 Poem by Justin Gildow

1995

I want to be in a world of believers
Where I'll get the opportunity to shake the tree
Where I can finally see miracles of divine intervention
To be in a world with good intentions

I left a bouquet of flowers at your door
And I could have sworn
I thought I heard the raven nearby cackle ' Nevermore '

So we are the people
Always dreaming, always believing
Rays of light rumble through the sky
Our situation is reflecting in your eyes
Water is in ourselves
Love is in our hearts
The future, we hope will be pure and pictured like we have it in our dreams
But that remains yet to be seen
For right now and the time being anyway

So for the time being
Time is on our side
Let's be grateful for that
